RegCure Review
There has been some increased interest on Windows Vista system utilities lately, particularly with Vista registry cleaners and optimizers. Our site has done quite a lot of software reviews of this kind for Windows XP and prior versions but published only a few on Vista. The reason: very few registry utilities exist today that already supports the new Vista OS and although some of them do, most of them fall below our standard.

RegCure showcases an attractive and user-friendly interface where users can easily switch views and navigate between components. Iconized menu buttons are arranged in order of importance and presented in a way that easily suggests it’s functionality in a glance.
Current version is capable of detecting registry errors caused by invalid COM and ActiveX controls. It also checks for existence of invalid references to Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL) shared by applications. There are times when users unknowingly move application files from its installation directory to another folder that eventually causes the registry to lose reference to its location. RegCure finds the new location of the file and corrects the registry to point to it. This process applies to application paths, help files, program shortcuts and Windows startup items. Aside from the feature mentioned above, RegCure has the ability to optimize system performance by removing unused empty registry objects often left behind by uninstalled applications, compressing the size of the Windows registry for better and faster performance.
Additional functionalities are added to current versions of this software. Startup Management, an addition to RegCure, enables users to view and manage programs set to load during system startup. They can chose to enable, disable or even delete startup items using this tool. This feature is essential for users who want to remove unwanted programs that autoload themselves during Windows bootup.

I do like regure for windows Vista. It does a good job and is trust worthy. Personally I always reccomend makeing a backup first before you run the program.
The most impressive I found about regcure is the superfast detection speed, not only it cleans my registry well, but is the fastest of all scanners I tested!

I used to own a prominent registry cleaner and quickly lost confidence in it when, immediately after running a scan and clean process, I would scan again and come up with a bunch more registry errors.
Either the registry cleaner didn’t find all of the errors the first time through or it didn’t clean up all the problems. When I decided to remove the registry cleaning program from my computer it wouldn’t leave, at least not without putting up a fight. I’ve found some internet viruses easier to remove from my computer than that cleaner.
Anyway, RegCure is by far the better registry cleaner out there. Easy to install. Easy to use. And easy to uninstall if necessary.
